Everything tastes better in a Moomintroll glass! I love my new little glasses, courtesy of David's friend Travis. AH SCANDINAVIA!
After all that anxiety over registries, all has ended how we hoped. We have a good little fund for a honeymoon, the material items we DID receive are exactly what we want and/or NEED, and we have very precious few off-registry gifts. Of the handful we got, they were mostly quite nice.
Now to finish the kitchen so we have places FOR these nice things.
So, Marrieds: how long after your wedding did it seem people did not buy anything off the registry any more? I mean, it's no skin off our nose if we leave them up, but at least the Macy's one only lets you buy anything off the registry (that wasn't purchased) for 10% off the first three months after the wedding date. Ten percent ain't a bunch, but it IS 10%. Covers shipping, probably. And I despise malls, so it is a decent incentive for me. But if you found people were still purchasing things after the wedding we'll follow advice & wait a bit to buy the last few things left. Anyhoo, just wondering. It's only been five days since the wedding. We're just discussing loose ends, and we wondered.
I am going to have one more wedding entry on the blog space here, before I shut up about the whole damn thing. With the reading and vows and all that good stuff. But I have to admit, I am still dead tired. I've forced myself to sit here to write this. And David has been working the past three nights, which BLOWS. I haven't really had a night alone with my husband yet. Not one where we are generally ALIVE, anyway.
HUSBAND. Whoa. Now THAT is weird to write!

We’ve been married a little less than two months and the gifts stopped arriving about two weeks ago.
Also, this: I LIKE reading about your wedding, so if you want to write about it, I’ll definitely read about it!

I still have your gift and card in my purse! Like Courtney, I never managed to teeter past the gift table, so I just kept carrying it. I’ll put it in the mail soon, I promise!
