I actually watched the Oscars!
OK, I'm just going to come right out and say it: I LIKED ZOE SALDANA'S DRESS.
Clearly I am no fashion blogger and this is the first year I have watched the Oscars since, like, GHOST won the 1990 best picture and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt the Academy doesn't even take itself seriously, so I haven't been keeping track of the red carpet couture in past years, and all the dresses this year generally were exceptionally lovely – but they DID all seem sort of SAMEY. So though Zoe may be delegated to all the "Worst Dressed" lists this morning, I salute her for trying to do something a little different. Same to Vera Farmiga. Oh and also Diane Kruger in Chanel. I loved all the oddballs.
